FUN ALTERNATIVES: Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theatre
Hip Hop Ages 6 and up
This class teaches rhythm, coordination, musicality, and hip hop choreography without suggestive music/movements. Students are challenged to think on their feet while enjoying an energetic and fast-paced dance class. Our Hip Hop dancers develop focus, strength, and agility while having fun. This is an excellent class for high-energy kids who want to take a fast and fun dance class.
Attire: Comfortable street wear, tennis shoes or dance sneakers.
Dancers will perform one dance in our annual recital.
Hip Hop 1 Ages 6-7
Taught once a week for ¾ hour.
$45 monthly tuition

Hip Hop 2 Ages 8-10
Taught once a week for 1 hour.

Lyrical Ages Ages 10 & up
Lyrical is where ballet meets jazz. Dancers must be able to interpret music into movement. This is a very emotional and expressive form of dance which is based upon proper ballet and jazz technique. Also teaches contractions, isolation of movement, and control. Ballet experience is required for enrollment.
Attire: Black leotard, caramel tights (transitional), barefoot or lyrical shoes, hair should be secured in a ponytail.
Dancers will perform one dance in our annual recital.
Intermediate Lyrical Ages 10-12
Taught once a week for 1 hour.
$50 monthly tuition

Musical Theatre Ages 10 & up
Students will explore many classic broadway musicals. They will learn choreography while incorporating character into movement. Many social dances from different eras will be taught from the 20’s flappers to the 50’s jitterbug to the 70’s disco.
Attire: Black leotard, caramel tights (transitional), caramel jazz shoes, hair should be secured in a ponytail.
