CLASSICS: Age 6 & Up
Classics are designed to provide an outlet for students who would like to begin or continue their passion for dance. Classics are just that; the classic dance genres of Ballet, Tap, & Jazz. Studio Dee provides students with the highest quality dance training allowing young dancers to reach their fullest potential. These classes provide opportunities to dance for boys and girls ages 6 through high school.
Our Primary 1 & 2 classes allow dancers to attend one class a week incorporating the fundamental teachings of the three different genres: Ballet, Tap and Jazz. We also offer one subject classes where students may specialize in one particular genre.
Primary 1 Ages 6-8
Primary 1 is for the beginner student experiencing their first year of dance or moving up from a KinderCombo class. Students develop a sense of rhythm and musicality through the basics of tap dance. Children learn the correct disciplines of the ballet barre, ballet positions, body alignment and center floor work. As the finishing touch, young dancers are also introduced to the exhilarating world of Jazz Dance.
Primary 1 students will perform two dances in our annual recital.
Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, black tap shoes (with Velcro or elastic fasteners), pink ballet shoes, tan jazz shoes, hair should be secured in a ponytail. c bal

$70 monthly tuition

Primary 2 Ages 7-8
Primary 2 is for the beginner student who has completed the Primary 1 class. Students will build upon the skills they have acquired in Primary 1. Students develop a sense of rhythm and musicality through the basics of tap dance. Children learn the correct disciplines of the ballet barre, ballet positions, body alignment and center floor work. As the finishing touch, young dancers are also introduced to the exhilarating world of Jazz Dance.
Primary 2 students will perform two dances in our annual recital.

Ballet Ages 8 and up
Ballet is the basic foundation for all dance and its movements. Ballet concentrates on excellent training in body placement, discipline, grace, and poise.
Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair should be secured in a bun.
Dancers will perform one dance in our annual recital.
Ballet 2 Ages 8-9
Taught once a week for 1 hour.

Jazz Ages 8 and up
Jazz is where dancers can let loose! This class teaches warm-up techniques for strengthening and flexibility, as well as basic jazz techniques while learning stage presence and coordination.
Attire: Black leotard, caramel tights, caramel jazz boots, (cover-ups may be worn), hair should be secured in a ponytail.
Dancers will perform one dance in our annual recital.
Jazz 2 Ages 8-9
Taught once a week for 1 hour.
